Synopsis/Details

5 June 2027, 7:30 p.m.

In just a few short years, Chilean American tenor Jonathan Tetelman has shot to stardom on the most prestigious stages across Europe and the Americas. He regularly performs at the Bavarian State Opera, London’s Covent Garden, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, the Vienna State Opera, the San Francisco Opera, and New York’s Metropolitan Opera.

According to critics, his voice possesses "all the Italian passion without losing elegance and refinement." Reviews particularly praise his signature "mahogany timbre," which shines fully in the music of Giuseppe Verdi. It is Verdi’s celebrated arias and duets that will take centre stage in the first half of the Prague concert, alongside works by Umberto Giordano, Giacomo Puccini, and Georges Bizet.

The second part of the evening will pay tribute to the legendary tenor Mario Lanza, who once brought opera closer to millions of listeners worldwide. Tetelman is following a similar path today—through his concerts and recordings, he opens the world of classical music to a new generation, captivating not only seasoned opera lovers but also audiences who rarely step foot into an opera house.

The charismatic singer returns to Prague after two years, marking his third performance at the invitation of the Nachtigall Artists agency. He first dazzled audiences here in January 2024, followed by a second appearance in June 2025—completely winning over the public each time with his singing and captivating charm. In June 2027, he will be joined by the baritone Lukáš Bařák, a prominent figure on the Czech scene, soloist of the National Theatre Opera, and a highly sought-after concert singer. Both artists will be accompanied by the Prague Philharmonia orchestra under the baton of conductor Rastislav Štúr.

Do not miss this extraordinary evening full of grand emotions, thrilling melodies, and stellar vocal artistry!
